Elizabeth Terzakis is co-author, with Wyomia Tyus, of Tigerbelle: The Wyomia Tyus Story, published by Akashic Books. Her fiction has appeared in New England Review, Minerva Rising, Solstice, Calyx, Birdland Journal, and Rozlyn: Short Fiction by Women Writers. Her nonfiction publications include articles on the global AIDS crisis, free speech, human nature, the environment, and capital punishment. She provided a developmental edit for Keeanga-Yahmatta Taylor’s Race for Profit, which was shortlisted for the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize; proofread Manijeh Moradian’s This Flame Within; and did both developmental and copy edits of Dave Zirin’s What’s My Name, Fool? and Welcome to the Terrordome. She taught composition, critical thinking, and creative writing and nonfiction in the California community college system for twenty-two years. Her favorite activities are writing, running, and rock climbing.
